At the end of last year, I took a trip to Greece. This was my first time to visit Greece, but after the wonderful experience that I had there, I think it’s safe to say that it won’t be my last time to visit Greece. As you probably know (even if you haven’t got to experience it first-hand), Greece is a truly amazing place and has a lot to offer anyone who visits there.

I was fortunate enough to get to spend a full ten days in Greece. Because I knew that I was going to be there for a solid amount of time, I found some things prior to my trip that I wanted to see and do. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to fit everything into my schedule, but fortunately I had a friend who was on top of things enough to suggest to me to get a car rental in Greece.

I honestly don’t think I could have done half of what I did without a car rental in Greece. Having this method of transportation made it easy to get around, and I really think it did a lot to enhance my trip.

I am definitely not what you would call a compulsive traveler. Although I have friends who are always talking about traveling and planning for their next trip, this is simply not something that appeals to me. I like taking trips, but it’s not something that I want to do all of the time. While it’s fun to explore someplace new, I really love the city that I live in, so it always feels good to return home and get back into a regular routine.

While I don’t think that my attitude on traveling is going to change anytime soon, if there is one place that could turn me into a frequent flier, I think it would without a doubt be Greece. I went to Greece for the first time earlier this year, and I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was already itching to go back to Greece again (only time will tell whether or not this will actually happen).

If you have never been to Greece before, it’s hard to capture everything it possesses in just words. However, I will say that if you take a trip to Greece, you won’t be disappointed with the time you spend there.

Although it’s not coming around anytime soon, I am already really excited for May of 2009 to arrive. If you are wondering why I am so excited about a month that isn’t even close to getting here yet, it’s because I am going to be taking a really cool trip for an entire two weeks in May. The place where I get to go in May for a full two weeks is Greece, and I am going to be traveling there with a group of four of my closest friends (so there will be a total of five of us there).

I bet that if you asked any of my friends how excited they are about the trip that we are going to be taking, they would tell you that their level of excitement is just as high as mine. The reason for this is because not only is Greece an amazing place to go for two weeks, but this is something that we have been planning for quite some time, so it’s really cool to think that it’s finally going to happen this year.

Although I have always lived a good life, I have never considered myself to be spoiled. When I was growing up, my parents definitely did a great job of taking care of me, but it wasn’t like I could simply ask for anything that I wanted and instantly receive it. However, I am actually really glad that I wasn’t raised as a spoiled child. The reason for this is because not only did I learn the value of hard work (which is a value that has allowed me to create a great life for myself), but I also learned how to truly appreciate the good things that happen in life.

Because I do know how to appreciate the good things that happen to me in life, when I found out that I was going to be spending the Christmas holiday in Greece, I was absolutely ecstatic. The reason that I got to do this was because of my boyfriend. Since he kept it a secret from me until the very last minute, this trip was by far the best Christmas gift that I could have possibly received.
